Fridays Are For One Question
Confession time – I’ve been listening to Christmas music since the second week in November.
There. I said it. And I’m okay with it, because I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC.
I recognize, however, that there are two kinds of Christmas music:
Good and bad. So let’s focus on the second today:
“What is the worst Christmas song ever?”

I might get in trouble for this. But…”Christmas Shoes”. I can’t handle it!

No trouble here. I was done with that song about 7 years ago. What kind of father lets his kid go out buying shoes with their mom is on the deathbed?

My answer would have been “Christmas Shoes” except that “Santa Baby” has moved to the top spot. Why? Because I witnessed our son’s middle school chorus sing an edited version of it this week. Really?!?

Wow. Very curious what the “edited” version is like.

“Last Christmas I gave you my heart, and the very next day, you gave it away…”
Nothing says Merry Christmas like “I had a crappy Christmas last year. Here, let me ruin yours too!”

Worst Christmas song ever- “Last Christmas, I gave you my heart. The very next day, you gave it away.”

We don’t like Christmas breakup songs?
“This Christmas, let’s just be friends…”

The one about wanting a hippopotamus for Christmas. It effects me equally to the sound of fingernails on a blackboard!

For anyone who disagrees with Nanette and still wants a hippo for Christmas, please watch this:
