“WALK” SERMON SERIES

When the Bible talks about our relationship to Jesus Christ, the word used time and time again is “walk.” But what does it mean to walk deeply with Jesus? This 4-part sermon series, available below for $10, examines the metaphor of walking, examining key attributes in our ongoing journey with God.

BIBLE STUDIES

Below you can find links to two Bible studies I wrote with Threads, a division of Lifeway Christian Resources. They both deal with some difficult things that Jesus said in the gospels, and walk through those statements in a conversational kind of way. Each one also has a leader kit that goes with it if you want to start a small group.

To buy one of the books or leader kits, download a free sample chapter from each, or preview the videos that come on the leader kit, visit threadsmedia.com.

Specifically, here’s the link for Tough Sayings volume 1.

And here for Tough Sayings volume 2.

  1. Missy Bowman says:

My name is Missy Bowman and I am the Residential Staff of Eastern Appalachian Teen Challenge. I don’t know if you have ever heard of the program, but it is a non-profit, 12 month Christian Discipleship program, for 12-17 year old girls. The girls we take into our program have all struggled with life-controlling issues like, drugs, alcohol, sex, self-mutilation, and eating disorders. We take the girls in and put them into a structured environment, where they have work and chore ethics, continue their education, and most importantly Biblical studies where they learn the Word of God, and different ways they can apply it to their lives. We’re simply one beggar showing another beggar where to find bread. Many of the girls that come into our program have never even heard of Christ and know little to nothing about the Bible. When the girls see God really move in their lives and start speaking to them, they respond with such a depth of love and passion, that could really only best be expressed by the verse, “she who is forgiven of much loves the most”. Since our program has only been open for a year, our library still needs work. We’re trying to build our library with books and music that the girls will find relative and interesting.

With that said, we were just wondering if you would donate some of your resources for us to incorporate into our library, we would really enjoy it and appreciate it!

If you’d like more information on “our” program you can visit our website at http://www.teenchallenge4u.com.

    Blessings,
    Missy Bowman
